SIGNS OF DANGER IN PREGNANCY

Disturbance sometimes pregnancy can harm the mother or the fetus in the womb. Therefore, it is important to have regular inspections in order to determine the condition of mother's pregnancy.

Interruption of pregnancy can occur suddenly and usually can not be predicted in advance. Consult a physician if a pregnancy is showing signs of danger as follows:


Body weight of pregnant women do not rise

Normally, during pregnancy the mother will experience a weight gain of about 9-12 kg. Weight gain seen since the start of pregnancy until the age of 4 months before delivery.

If the mother's weight does not go up at the end of the fourth month or less than 45 kg at the end of the sixth month, then it is likely to be impaired fetal growth. Even the life of the fetus could be threatened.

No weight gain may be due to maternal malnutrition or mother suffering from diseases such as malaria, chronic cough, or other diseases that need to be treated immediately.

Hemorrhage (bleeding)

Bleeding through the birth canal in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum is a sign of danger that could result in the death of the mother or fetus.

1. Bleeding through the birth canal before 3 months of pregnancy can be caused by miscarriage or threatened miscarriage. If you experience this condition Mothers should immediately ask for help midwife or doctor to save the life of the fetus. However, when the fetus could not be saved, the mother needs to get help so that their health is maintained.

2. Bleeding through the birth canal with severe lower abdominal pain, a mother who missed period 1-2 months, is a very dangerous condition. This situation could threaten the mother's life. Therefore, mothers should be immediately taken to hospital for medical treatment.

3. Bleeding occurs in 7-9 months gestation, although only slightly but this condition is a threat to the mother and fetus. If you experience this mother should be immediately given medical treatment in hospital.

4. The occurrence of bleeding in large quantities, momentary or approximately 1 hour after giving birth, is very dangerous and often the cause of maternal death. This condition can lead to death in less than 2 hours. Mothers should be helped to rescue his soul.

5. Bleeding during childbirth (within 42 days after delivery) are ongoing, with odor and fever, is also a danger sign. Mothers should be immediately hospitalized.

Swollen hands / face, dizziness, and followed by seizures

Normal course when the foot or lower leg having a little swelling during pregnancy stepping 6 months upwards. However, conditions will be very dangerous when there was a slight swelling of the face or hands, especially if accompanied by high blood pressure and headache (headache).

If allowed the mother will experience a seizure or called eclampsia. These conditions often lead to death in the mother and fetus. If there are one or more symptoms of the mother should get immediate medical attention.

Decreased fetal movement or no

In normal conditions, at the age of 4-5 months gestation fetal movements can be felt by the mother for the first time. So fetal movements felt by the mother will be more frequent.

A healthy fetus moves regularly. If reduced fetal movement, weakened or not move at all in 12 hours, this condition could indicate that the baby's life may be in danger.

Abnormalities location of the fetus

Normally, the head of the fetus is in the mother's womb bottom and facing toward the back of the mother. Before delivery, the baby's head down and get into the mother's pelvis. However, sometimes the location of the fetus is not normal until the age of 9 months of pregnancy. So the mother should give birth in the hospital so that the mother and the fetus can be saved.

Abnormalities of the fetus' position include:

Breech: the fetal head at the top rahin
Location of latitude: the babies are lying crosswise in the uterus
If before delivery of the fetus body parts visible in the birth canal, such as the hands, feet or umbilical cord, the mother should get immediate medical care at the hospital.
